Linear Park Gonzalez Gallo
For my thesis at ITESO University, I transformed González Gallo Avenue in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, a busy thoroughfare that had long impeded access to the popular González Gallo Park. My solution involved designing a linear park that serves as a pedestrian crossover, seamlessly integrated into the avenue. This innovative design not only provides a safe and accessible route for pedestrians but also revitalizes the space between the busy lanes.
This project emphasized the critical role architects play in enhancing societal well-being. By creating a thoughtfully designed linear park, I aimed to improve safety, accessibility, and the overall quality of urban life. The project successfully bridged the gap between the suburbs and the park, fostering a more inclusive and vibrant community space. It stands as a testament to how carefully designed public spaces can significantly enrich human interactions and urban environments.
